Macbeth Act 1 Vocabulary Activity


This vocabulary activity was designed for completion at the end of Act 1. It was used in a class for Grade 10 students designated as ELL or SPED who needed extended academic support. The vocabulary words in the word bank represent a wide range of language complexity, including basic and accessible words and a few more complex words that have been pre-taught.

 

Character Matching Activity

Directions: Use the word bank below to match the adjectives the characters on the page. Write the appropriate adjective under the name of each character it describes. You may use the same adjective for several characters, but you must use each adjective at least once. 

Once you have matched each word from the word bank to at least one character, choose one character that you think is interesting.  On the back side of this paper, or on a separate sheet of paper, write a one-paragraph description of that character using the words from the word bank. Support your ideas with examples from the text.
